40 miles in Lent
Will you join us in walking 40 miles before Easter to help us to spread hope in communities nationwide?

Story

This Lent, as we reflect on Jesus' journey to the cross and hope in the resurrection, many of us will use these 40 days to focus on positive habits and serving our neighbours in love.

With another difficult year ahead, support and community remain vital for so many. That's why CUF is empowering churches to transform their communities.

My first Lent walk will begin at the beautiful Escomb Saxon Church in County Durham where I love to worship and which has served its community for over 1,300 years. I dedicate my walk to faithful parishioners of parish churches who keep the flame of faith alive in our communities - their role honours the Church more, I think, than today's bishops and synods!

From Escomb I will then walk in different places with updates on my Facebook Page. Here: https://www.facebook.com/ian.gomersall2

By walking 40 walks for CUF's Lent Walk Towards Hope, I aim to fundraise and reflect on hope and new life in my own community this Lent. Your donation will help local churches care for the vulnerable. Together, we can spread hope.

Your donation given here thriough JustGiving will go directly to the Church Urban Fund.
