Story

Totton Running Club has chosen to support The Flutterby Fund for this years special Christmas charity fancy dress fund raiser. On Sunday 17th December we will gather at the War Memorial car park in Totton at 10.00. We will be running/walking/skipping a route to be confirmed but will be around 5-6 miles long with the usual 'Love Stations' en-route. All welcome whether a member of Totton Running Club or not. Children welcome with well behaved adults ;-)

The theme this year is 'panto'. Dressed as everything from Dick Whittington, Peter Pan, Cinderella and Tinkerbell to name a few characters, we will be making our way slowly around Totton hopefully putting a smile on peoples faces, we hope, and raising awareness of this tremendous charity. Please sponsor us.

The Flutterby Fund is a local therapy centre and a charity which aims to help children with special needs from low income families access therapy and equipment unavailable on the NHS. We are a clinic dedicated to providing therapies to children with additional needs.

17/12/23 10am – meet Totton Memorial Car park for 5 miles.

Leave the memorial car park and head up Ringwood Road.

Turn right up to Helen and Andy’s Lucious love station in Coblands Avenue.

Leave Helen and Andy’s and head back to Ringwood Road.

Head up Ringwood Road past the roundabout. Keep on Ringwood Road until we turn right into Holland Road and onto Winchester Way where we will find the luxury love Station at Emily’s Place.

From Emily’s there is a cut-way that leads us to past the SO40 Bar at the WTC. From there past the SO40 keeping it on your right hand side , through the car park find the footpath on the other side of the Hazel Farm Road and turn left heading towards Calmore.

Stay on the footpath bearing right at the fork in the path. Stay on this path and cross Goldcress Lane.

At the next junction in the path turn right. Stay on this path all the way to Calmore Road. Cross Calmore Road onto the footpath into Flowerdown Close.

Turn right onto Calmore Drive and stay on it until we reach Calmore roundabout.

At the roundabout turn right down Salisbury Road until we see Testwood Avenue on the left. Head down the gravel drive to find the lovetastic love station at Laura and Darren’s.

After a break at Laura and Darrens head down Salisbury road turning left into Hamtun Gardens, after about 200mtrs right turn into Hamtun Crescent. Stay on this until the end of the road. Turn right into Greenfields Avenue.

At the end of Greenfields turn left we go past Testwood School.

Keep on this road, Testwood Lane, until we see Lizzie and Neil’s Final fantastic love station.

The 6 Barrells is optional but what a sight that will look with Panto stars packing it out ……
