Story
Team Northumbrian Water, sponsored by Mediaworks will be Walking Hadrian’s Wall in a 3 day challenge to raise money for WaterAid.
- 703 million people are still living without clean water close to home.
- 1 in 4 children will be living in places where there is not enough water by 2040.
- 1 in 10 people don't have clean water and climate change is making it worse.
If you believe access to clean water and sanitation are basic human rights? WaterAid does. This international non-profit is the world's largest organisation focused solely on making clean water, decent toilets, and good hygiene a normal part of life for everyone, everywhere. They work tirelessly to transform lives by addressing this fundamental crisis.
Imagine a world where children don't miss school due to waterborne illnesses, and women and girls aren't at risk when using unsafe sanitation facilities. WaterAid's work extends far beyond just providing clean water. They empower entire communities through hygiene education and sanitation projects, fostering a ripple effect of positive change. By investing in WaterAid, you're investing in a healthier, more dignified future for millions around the world.
