Story
I have a personal connection to this cause. My son Ben is 6 years old and on the Autistic Spectrum. He has global development delay, and is not able to speak or understand words. He has a lot of challenges. He is also an awesome little man, very happy and very funny. I wouldn't change anything about him, because his challenges are a part of who he is.
The world he lives in however, does not always accommodate or support people like my son Ben, and he often needs a lot of support. This organisation is one of the wonderful charities out there that are here to help people like Ben. So, I naturally am very happy to support an organisation like this.
I'm running the London Marathon in 2024. I'm 44 years old, and this is my first Marathon. But know this:
I WILL CROSS THAT FINISH LINE.
Any support you can give, however large or small, is very much appreciated, I can assure you.
More information about See Ability can be found below :-D
SeeAbility specialises in supporting people who have learning disabilities or autism. They also support people in this position who may also have sight loss.
Through our support, people live ambitious lives and achieve things they never thought possible, whether that's forming more friendships and relationships, enjoying new experiences and activities or finding employment.
The charity encourages people with disabilities to challenge what they expect from life, from themselves and from wider society.
The people they support overcome huge barriers to achieve exciting new things every day - they challenge us all to think about what’s possible and to rethink disability.
