Story

***Updare***

I’m sorry to say I had to retire at Rushen. It was just too much to face the Sloc.

I’d like to take the time to thank each and every one of you for supporting me.

Training starts tomorrow for next year….

Thank you!!

Iain

Well it's like this...

Last February (2023) I felt unwell and the next thing I knew, my right side had packed in. Turns out I'd had a stroke. Not good!

This is my way of giving something back to the wonderful people at the Manx Stroke Foundation for all the encouragement they've given me. I am doing the Parish Walk - I will get to Rushen and if ok I’ll carry on to Peel.

And that's it!!

Thank you so much.

About the charity

The Manx Stroke Foundation is an Isle of Man registered charity formed in 1997 by a small group of health professionals who recognised the need for a support group for those affected by stroke. The overall aim of the Foundation is to help and support people after stroke. We identify new initiatives in stroke care and campaign to improve stroke services on the Isle of Man. We are also dedicated to raising awareness of stroke and its risk factors so that strokes can be prevented.
