Fundraising for Newcastle Hospitals Charity
Dear friends and family,
Isla, our 8-year-old daughter, is embarking on a 7-mile walk from South Shields Pier to Roker Pier to raise money for a charity that is very important to her (and us!). It is the fantastic Allergy Team at the Royal Victoria Infirmary (RVI) in Newcastle. The provisional date is August 8th.
The Specific Fund that Isla is raising money for is the REACH-IN Fund. The Research and Education in Allergy for Children in Newcastle Fund.
Why Isla’s Walk Matters:
Isla has faced food allergies since she was a baby. Isla has faced many challenges, whether it is kid’s parties, eating out, going on holiday or school dinners. She has had countless hospital appointments for skin prick tests, blood tests and supervised food challenges but the brilliant support from the allergy team at the RVI have shaped her resilience and helped to give her the knowledge to stay safe. Now, she wants to give back to them.
How You Can Make a Difference:
1. Donate: Every step Isla takes brings us closer to a cure. Your donation, no matter how small, will directly impact children like Isla. Don’t forget to use Gift Aid if you can.
2. Spread the Word: Share Isla’s story with your friends, family, and colleagues. Awareness is key to finding solutions and supporting families dealing with food allergies.
Together, We Can Make a Difference:
Imagine a world where no child (or their parents!) fears their next meal. With your support, we can fund research, provide resources, and create a brighter future for kids like Isla. Let’s turn Isla’s steps into giant leaps toward a cure.
Thank you for your generosity. Your kindness matters more than you know.
