Start Small is a charity operating in Nakuru, Kenya, focusing on helping vulnerable children attend school. We are fundraising to purchase our own bus to help with the transportation of our 97 children to and from school each day. This will ensure their safety before and after school and allows us to maintain a closer relationship with them and their families. We currently hire both a driver and a van to transport our children each day. This is one of our biggest expenses over the course of the year. By purchasing our own can, we would be able to save about 50% of the current overall cost of transportation which would be very significant for the organization. The funds saved through owning our own can would the be allocated towards other Start Small projects year after year; The impact will be significant and long lasting.
