We raise funds for Angelman Syndrome to give back to the Angelman community

Story

Welcome to our JustGiving page for our Annual Golf Day!

This year, we are proud to support The Max Ward Foundation, a charitable organisation dedicated to making a profound difference in the lives of individuals with Angelman syndrome and other rare genetic conditions.

The foundation is inspired by Max, a remarkable young boy with Angelman syndrome, a rare neuro-genetic disorder that occurs in one in every 15,000 live births. Each individual with Angelman syndrome faces unique challenges, including difficulties with strength, movement, feeding, communication, and managing seizures. Despite these challenges, Max, with the support of his incredible team, works tirelessly to enhance his quality of life, embodying the resilience and hope that the foundation seeks to promote.

The Max Ward Foundation was established not just to support Max but as a means for the trustees and Max to contribute positively to the Angelman community and beyond. Their objectives include relieving the needs of those affected by Angelman syndrome and their families, supporting individuals with additional needs, and promoting research into Angelman syndrome and other rare genetic conditions.

Whether you can join us on the course or support from afar, your contribution is invaluable. If you're unable to attend our Golf Day but would like to support this vital cause, please consider contributing. All funds raised go directly to The Max Ward Foundation, helping the foundation move closer to its noble goals.

We promise a day of enjoyable golf, excellent company, and the rewarding opportunity to support a truly inspiring cause at Stockport Golf Club. It’s the perfect setting to come together, enjoy the outdoors, and help make a lasting impact.

Please donate today and join us in supporting The Max Ward Foundation. If you'd like to join us for our Golf Day, view our event page here.

Thank you for your support and generosity.
