Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Luke, our Clinical Director, had an unexpected arrival on 26th February 2023 when his son, Teddy, was born six weeks premature. After spending two weeks in the special care baby unit at the Great Western Hospital, he finally came home and has managed to go from strength to strength ever since.

Our team at Hungerford Vets have joined together to run the Greenham Common 10k on 25th February 2024 to celebrate his first year.

Every year in the UK, over 100,000 babies are born premature, or need medical attention and New Life Special Care Babies is a charity that helps to supply vital equipment for neonatal units across the UK.

Our aim is to raise money for this great charity so they can provide much needed equipment and to help those who may be under the care of the amazing people who work in special care baby units all over the country.

Thank you for any donation you make, it truly makes a difference.

About the charity

New Life is a registered charity that is dedicated to raising money for special care baby units across the UK. The Charity was launched by Trevor Goodall in 1995 in memory of his sons who were born 3 months premature. Sadly they both died after a week but their struggle inspired Trevor to make a difference. In 2021 the Charity reached the amazing £1Million in donations which has helped so many sick and premature babies and their families.
