Story

What are we doing?

On 8th August Justin and I will be embarking on a 1000 mile cycle challenge from Gothenburg (Sweden) to Amsterdam (Netherlands) passing through Sweden, Denmark, Germany and the Netherlands. We will be self supported, carrying all our gear and camping along the way. This will be an amazing journey but also a huge physical and mental challenge for both of us. Updates will be posted on this page so you can follow along on the adventure.

We are grateful for any donations you are able to make.

Why are we doing it?

In October 2023, as part of the Juniper Trust’s Quality Schools Project, Chris, Justin and Holly will be travelling to Nepal to delivery some teacher training in the Kinja Valley. Primary school teachers will travel from their villages to attend one of two training days that we will be running. The focus of the day will be English and appropriate teaching methods to promote this. Later in the trip we will visit ten schools to deliver a "fun day" with the aim of promoting the use of English by both teachers and pupils.

We are funding the trip entirely ourselves so all of the money you donate will go to The Nepal Quality Schools Project.

The Juniper Trust - Quality Schools Project

Juniper Trust's Nepal Qualiy Schools Project will provide support for teacher training, school libraries and essential equipment to all the 19 schools JT has helped to reconstruct.

The Project aims are to ensure that all children, including marginalised groups, are taught in a friendly supportive environment so that they enjoy coming to school. They acquire skills, knowledge and understanding through careful instruction, demonstration, discussion, and practical activities.
