Last one I promise!
Monty’s 6th year fundraiser for blood cancer U.K….
Each year, members of S6 at Wellington School nominate a variety of worthwhile charities to support. This year is no exception, and the 6th year were delighted to announce that they will be supporting Blood Cancer UK for session 2024-2025.
The inspiration behind this nomination which is close to the 6th years hearts, was Montgomery House Captain, Amber, whose family has a specific connection to the impact blood cancer can have on young people and families as Amber saved her little brothers life by donation her bone marrow. A brave and tricky procedure at such a young age, 6 years ago which has seen Angus cancer free since.
To “do my bit” I propose to cycle 10-20 km per day on my indoor bike using the Zwift app, from the day the charity was announced on 5th Sept (so I’m well under way), until the finish date at the end of May/ early June. This should cover at between 2680 and 5360 km’s.
Can I ask you to squeeze your pockets one last time via just giving for this wonderful cause?
Thank you so much.
