Event: Edinburgh Kiltwalk 2024, on 15 September 2024
On Sunday, 15th September in Edinburgh, a team from St Andrew's Children's Society and their supporters will be stepping out for this year's Kiltwalk. They will be raising vital funds for our adoption and fostering support work.

Story

This will be mine (Sian) and my brother's (Mike), 8th (possibly 9th 🤷🏻‍♀️) KiltWalk in Aberdeen, taking place on 2nd June '24.

This year we are raising funds for St Andrew's Children's Society, without them we wouldn't have the little tornado 🌪️ that is K.

SACS is an independent adoption and fostering agency working from centres in Edinburgh and Aberdeen, providing services throughout west and east central Scotland and up to the Highlands.

They are Scotland’s specialist agency for the placement of sibling groups, children with disabilities and those severely affected by the trauma of neglect and abuse. Their aim is the successful outcome of adoption or foster care through well-developed adoption and fostering support. Instead of traditional parenting techniques, adopted and fostered children require a style of parenting which is more sensitive to their emotional needs, many having experienced some form of loss or trauma.
