Story
In July 2024 Simon and I will taking on a 102 mile cycle ride ‘Coast to Coast’, from Ilfracombe to Plymouth (oh boy….what am I doing 🫣😳!!), to raise much needed money and awareness of PANS PANDAS.
As many of you know our daughter was diagnosed with PANDAS and we have been battling this horrible condition for almost 2 years! The terrifying part about it is that many children are misdiagnosed and being treated for mental health conditions or told they have special educational needs, when actually their body is trying to fight infection. In Ava’s case it was caused by streptococcus infections, both times this was missed as she was asymptomatic, the only reason we knew something was wrong, was because of her sudden dramatic change in behaviour:
🐼OCD (around vomiting & germ’s)
🐼Absence seizures
🐼Extreme panic attacks
🐼High anxiety
🐼Visual and audio hallucinations
This has been the toughest, most heartbreaking 💔 time for our whole family and I will do everything in my power to help raise awareness of this condition so no other family is left to suffer like we did.
Now the training begins….😬 I am terrified, but I have to do this for my girl and all those families who have been battling against PANS PANDAS.
Please help us raise awareness and funds for this incredible charity, we know with the support of our amazing family & friends we…..
…..CAN DO THIS!! 💪🏻 🚲 🐼
Thank you 😘😘😘
