Story

My mother loved the outdoors and was happiest when cycling, sailing or walking with Ali by her side. Hilary died in February this year and I am taking on this sponsored cycling event in her memory to support the extraordinary Sue Ryder Thorpe Hall Hospice in Peterborough, where she spent the last weeks of her life.

Thorpe Hall holds a special place in our hearts. The compassionate team of nurses, doctors, chefs, cleaners, and volunteers provided unparalleled care to my mother. Their dedication allowed my father to reclaim his role as a husband, easing the burden of full-time caregiving. For my sister, myself, and our extended family, visits became moments of peace and tranquillity.

The event

The sponsored event is a challenging 100 mile cycle ride with over 2000m/6000ft of ascent. It promises to be a test of endurance, which I am currently training hard for.

Your generous support in this endeavor means the world to me. Every donation will directly benefit Thorpe Hall and Sue Ryder, ensuring they can continue their exceptional care for families like ours.
