Story
Pendle Young Farmers are raising money in memory of Hector Eccles. A talented, passionate young farmer who was sadly taken from us far too soon in March 2024, aged 16. Hector was studying at Moorland School where he enjoyed playing football with his friends, aswell as being a keen member of Pendle YFC. Although only 16, Hector was working at Gisburn Auction Mart where he was loved by all.
On the 28th July 2024 young farmers, colleagues, friends and anyone that had the privilege of knowing Hector will be walking 16 miles to mark his 16 years with us. We will be walking from Hector’s school in Clitheroe to his hometown, Worsthorne.
We are raising money for R.A.B.I who do an excellent job of supporting farming families through difficult times.
Any amount that you can give will be a fitting tribute to this remarkable young man, and we hope that you can join us to support a farming charity in memory of our friend.
If you would like to join us on our walk please get in touch with Pendle Young Farmers Club or Bethany Duerden.
Hector, you will be missed by everyone that had the pleasure of knowing you, and memories we have of you will stay with us forever💚
