We fund vital innovative biomedical studies to ignite research into ME/CFS

Story

Hello! Members of our wonderful team will be running the Sheffield Half Marathon on Sunday 7th April. We will be running to raise money for local charity Helping Yorkshire Poundies (HYPS) and ME Research UK

In December 2023 HYPS helped us out with a tricky situation concerning a mama dog in poor health and her puppies. After exhausting many options, resulting in outcomes we did not agree with, we thought we were at a loss until a volunteer for HYPS came to the rescue. Without any hesitation they agreed to take in mum and her puppies and fund her urgent surgery. They really were Christmas angels!

Our beloved colleague Fran has had ME for 6 years. Despite this she still managed to live a fulfilled life and work part time as a Veterinary Surgeon. In Nov 2022 Fran caught COVID despite taking precautions to avoid exposure. Fran has been bed bound ever since. Despite her challenges Fran continues to advocate for ME suffers and fight for research into ME/CFS.

ME Research UK say "Only biomedical research can find the causes of ME/CFS, improve diagnosis and treatment, and, ultimately, arrive at a cure. That’s why research is our focus"

ME Research UK exists solely to fund high quality biomedical studies into the causes and treatment of ME/CFS.
