Story
In memory of our dad, George High, we’re taking on an incredible challenge to raise money for Accord Hospice, a charity that provided George with exceptional care and support during his final days. George spent 7 days at Accord, and the team there made such a difference to him and to all of us as a family. The kindness and compassion we experienced from the staff is something we’ll never forget.
To honour him, we’ve set ourselves the goal of walking, running or swimming a total of 700 kilometres in the month of April– each of us covering 175 kilometres.
As part of this we’ll also be taking part in the Mighty Stride Kiltwalk in Glasgow on April 26th, walking in George’s memory. Every step we take is a tribute to him, and we’re raising funds to help Accord Hospice continue to provide the incredible care that supported our family when we needed it most.
Accord Hospice is dedicated to offering end-of-life care, providing comfort, dignity, and emotional support to patients and their families during some of life’s most difficult times. Their work is vital, and we want to help ensure they can continue to offer this invaluable service to others.
Please consider supporting us on this journey – your generosity will make a real difference, and we’re so grateful for any help. Thank you for being part of this with us.
