As-salamu alaykum (Peace be Upon you).

My name is Hifsah Latif, and this Ramadan, I have created a fundraiser to donate money to the "Imran Khan Cancer Appeal". To help save lives for those based in the "Shaukat Khanum Cancer Hospital" in Pakistan.

I chose this charity primarily because I lost my older brother Usamah to cancer at 20 years old in 2021. (Inna Lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un) (We belong to Allah, and to Him, we return). Witnessing the effect of cancer on my brother has affected my family's lives immensely. Also, it is something we would never wish on another person.

Alhamdulillah, we are fortunate in the UK, where Medical aid is free, and the NHS did their best to help. But, unfortunately, it is insufficient; more should be done to raise awareness.

I was in Pakistan over the summer, and seeing the people's deprivation, and living circumstances truly broke my heart. Pakistan lacks the financial means and resources to access the same medical care available in the UK.

I, therefore, created this fundraiser to spread awareness for Cancer Patients. In'sha'allah, they will be helped, and the funding will go towards the hospital and patients.

"And whoever saves a life it is as though he had saved the lives of all mankind" (5:32). - Quran.

Although I've set the aim at a fixed rate, I'll raise the value if we succeed. So please give what you can; every penny helps. The link can also be found above and in my bio.
