This is your opportunity as a catalyst to support local charities on the back of myself and a team of volunteers, taking on the ultimate endurance race for mere mortals - The Para's 10.
The race is taken from one of the tests that trainee Paratroopers must pass in order to win the coveted Maroon Beret. It tests resilience, determination, stamina, fitness, endurance and self discipline. In order to to complete this race satisfactorily , 100 hours of training over many months is required. The challenge is chosen, as it is hard but can be achieved with proper training over many months.
The race is over 10 miles, with a 35lb backpack, wearing boots over multi terrain, water obstacles, swamps and hills.
We do this because we care about children, carrying the equivalent of a 4 yr old child for 10 miles, enduring pain and sweat to highlight the cause, make you aware of it, so that it is worthy of your support and to share with your networks.
