The Story:

In 2015 I lost my Dad in the terror attack in Tunisia, my Mum sustained injuries, both mentally and physically, but survived and made it back home to us. It was an attack on a hotel where 30 Britains were killed in the space of an hour. Throughout the years we have worked hard with a team of supportive family and friends to turn this horrific tragedy into an opportunity to raise money and awareness for charities close to our heart, as an attempt to turn this hateful event, into an opportunity to do some good and spread light.

This year will mark 10 years since this life changing day and where we haven’t hosted any events in recent years, we are determined to mark the decade by spreading light and positivity once again. We really want to raise money for Nelson’s Journey because they're a local charity to us, who work closely with children and families who have experienced bereavement. My Mum and I wouldn’t have gotten through the past 10 years without the support of charities, our family liaison officers and family and friends, so Nelson’s Journey feels close to our hearts, offering the support that we know is so imperative for others to move forward and continue to live their lives after a huge bereavement.

About Nelson's Journey:

Nelson‘s Journey supports children and young people in Norfolk who’ve experienced the death of a significant person. Since 1997, Nelson’s Journey has helped thousands of bereaved children and young people in the county.

It is only thanks to the tremendous support of fundraisers that our work is possible.

“Having someone there for us during our grieving process was seamless. The understanding and

guidance displayed during this time far exceeded my expectations.” – feedback from parent.
