Story
As founder of The Huracan Foundation I couldn't be more proud of the progress we have made as a charity in the last ten years.
Spending time recently with our incredible project leaders in Argentina, I was able to learn more about the work they do to use football to improve the lives of children in some of the most challenging contexts imaginable.
This year, we're supporting Willy (Uganda), Rocio (Mexico), Juan (Argentina), Linia (Zimbabwe), and Jose (Peru) to set up projects and teams that will impact over 500 children (60%+ girls).
As we reach the climax of our £10K fundraiser, with about £1000 left to raise, I thought it was time for me to put my trainers on and try and inspired others to do the same with a #FebruaryResolution of running 10km per day for 10 days.
Two years ago I was in great shape, running ultra-marathons. But I have practically stopped running, put on weight, and haven't run more than 30km in a week in months.
So, I'll be challenging myself to run 10km every day in the altitude and heat of Bogotá. Let's hope I can complete the challenge, inspire others to do something positive this month, and most importantly help us hit our fundraising target to keep impacting young lives around the world.
Thank you!
