Story

Hi Friend,

I am Lily, and I am on a mission to save my favorite animal, the octopus, and protect the ocean! I recently found out about a proposed Octopus farm in the Canary Islands, and I think it is really cruel to these amazing creatures.

I've been a vegetarian for years and a huge advocate for ocean conservation. This farm is not something I can stand by and watch happen. So, I have decided to combine my love for swimming with my passion for protecting our planet and my Octofriends.

Last year, I swam 5km and raised €2,000 for GOSH children's hospital in London. Now, I am organizing a swimming fundraiser in the Algarve to raise money for Compassion in World Farming, who are working to stop the octopus farm.

I'm so excited to make a difference and I would love for you to join me!

Let's swim together to protect the ocean and all its incredible creatures.

Check out the Ocean Born Foundation website for more information and follow my social media @swimforimpact for updates on my training and swim.

Let's stop this farm and save the octopus from harm!
