Story
Peace Be Upon You (Assalamu Alaikum),
Today, I write with a heavy heart and an urgent plea. While I count myself among the fortunate, millions of Afghans are enduring unimaginable suffering. Decades of war, instability, and famine have left the country in dire straits, with countless lives hanging by a thread.
The reality is heartbreaking:
•Over one million children are at immediate risk of death due to malnutrition.
•22 million adults are struggling with severe food insecurity, battling hunger every single day.
•Unemployment has skyrocketed, food prices are soaring, and the most vulnerable—women, children, and the elderly—are being pushed to extremes simply to survive.
But it doesn’t end there. The healthcare system is overwhelmed, underfunded, and woefully under-equipped. Hospitals lack critical medical supplies, leaving millions untreated. •Women and children are disproportionately affected, and many are losing their lives to preventable conditions.
This crisis is not just a statistic—it’s a catastrophe. To do my part I'm going to try and run half a marathon. It would mean the world to me if you can support this generously ❤️
