Libya floods
Campaign by UNICEF UK (RCN 1072612 (England & Wales) and SC043677 (Scotland))
A powerful storm in Libya has caused two dams to collapse, causing catastrophic damage in the north-east city of Derna. More than 3,500 people are reported dead, and 9,000 are reported missing. Help UNICEF reach children and families affected.

Story

Thank you for visiting my page. I'm fundraising to help children affected by the flooding in Libya.

On 10 and 11 September massive Mediterranean Storm Daniel ripped through Libya, causing more than 5,000 deaths and leaving 10,000 missing. The deadly storm caused two dams to collapse near the port of Derna, leading to catastrophic floods.

People have been stranded in their homes with no electricity and access to water. Some have been evacuated and given temporary shelter in schools, hotels, and relatives’ houses. Three main hospitals and four clinics are completely out of service.

UNICEF is responding urgently to this disaster, supporting the Government of Libya to reach affected children and families with life-saving supplies and services.

Please give what you can.
