Story
Helen Mahoney passed away at the end of September after a sudden deterioration in her cancer. Alongside being a phenomenal person and meaning so much to so many, Helen dedicated a huge amount of her life and energies to the arts and arts charities, driven by a belief in the fundamental good that access to arts opportunities could have for people and communities.
Helen achieved a huge amount in her life but was just on the cusp of realising a number of things that she had been working towards her whole career. One of these was to become a trustee for AMP Music - www.amp-music.co.uk (formerly NYMAZ) a charity she had worked with closely for a number of years and for whom she had recently completed a research project around their 'Gone In The Air' campaign aimed at improving youth access to musical opportunities in rurally isolated areas of England - https://amp-music.co.uk/report/gone-in-the-air/
Helen was immensely proud to have been asked to become a trustee for AMP and asked that if anyone wanted to give to charity in her memory, that the money be donated to them.
