I'm fundraising for the Coal Creek Family YMCA, an organization that I decided to support 8 years ago. I joined for the convenience of the location, it's safe, great exercise programs and make new friends. It inspires me to see how the Y is helping kids and low income families to have a safe place to bring their children.

They have scholarships for swimming classes, day summer camps, their backpack program throughout the school year and recently opened new daycare facility in Eastgate. The Y also have various programs centered around Chronic Disease Prevention such as Diabetes Prevention, Parksinsons awareness, and Prevention Childhood Obesity.

The Fund Drive helps fulfill the Y's mission: Building a community where all people, especially the young, are encouraged to develop their fullest potential in spirit, mind, and body. This mission, in its holistic approach and with a focus on the young, has proven timeless!
