Story
Since it's the 10th Anniversary of the first time I had a Big Chop, I thought it was time to organise my third, and last, big haircut.
I'm aiming to donate the hair, so it needs to be at least 7 inches (17cm), but preferably 12 inches (30cm). At it's longest, my hair is currently around 21 inches (54cm).
You get to decide how much I donate... yes, you! If/when I reach my target, I will pick one donor at random and that person gets to choose how much hair I'm donating. Will you be kind to me and choose 12 inches? Or will you make me be outrageous and choose 20 inches? I'll leave it up to you and will abide by the winner's choice.
It costs, on average, £700 to provide one wig to a child or young person. This cost covers the making, fitting and styling of the wig.
The Little Princess Trust provides real hair wigs, free of charge, to children and young people who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or to other conditions such as Alopecia. Your donation will help them to help more children and young people.
The charity is also one of the largest funders of childhood cancer research in the UK.
The Little Princess Trust relies solely on the generosity of its wonderful supporters who help the charity give Hair and Hope to so many children and young people with cancer each year.
