As many of you may know our Dad/Joseph's Grandad worked for many years at Cavendish Cancer Centre, and the centre has remained very much in our hearts, fundraising and supporting as a family when we can.

When this years Heroes of Sheffield Abseil was announced on Fathers day it seemed a fitting tribute for 'Our Hero - John' and an opportunity to support Cavendish Cancer Care. Therefore Joseph and I will taking on this challenge.

By taking on the 12 storey abseil that is the Sheffield Hallam Owen building and fundraising along the way, you are supporting cancer patients and their families in Sheffield and beyond.

Cavendish Cancer Care is a local independent charity that for more than 30 years has been providing free of charge support packages to cancer patients and their families. We believe that no-one should face a cancer alone so we provide care and support to alleviate the physical and psychological effects that cancer and its treatments brings.

We receive just enough government funding to keep our doors open for two weeks each year. We rely in the support of people like you to be here for all those who need us, at what is one of the most frightening times of their lives.

Any money raised goes towards providing vital therapy for people affected by cancer when they need it most, thank you for choosing to support Cavendish.
