Each year, over 44,000 people in the UK are diagnosed with bowel cancer. That's why I'm supporting Bowel Research UK this March by taking on Move in March. Bowel Research UK are the UK’s leading specialist bowel cancer and bowel disease research charity and their research is saving and improving lives.

I’ll be walking 44 miles by 31st March to raise money for vital life-changing research into bowel cancer and bowel disease.

On the 3rd March, Maria had 2 operations as a consequence of previous surgery following bowel cancer treatment. Early diagnosis makes a huge difference for a positive outcome. This is why the age range for screening is soon to be extended to people aged 50 and over.
