In 2022 we lost our dear friend and colleague, Heidi, to cancer. Heidi was such a fun-loving, bubbly and beautiful lady who brought so much laughter and happiness into our lives. She loved being active and often shared stories of her long walks with her dog, her keep fit classes and her horse riding capers. We wanted to hold an annual event in her memory and as most of us have never been on a horse, we thought a walk would be safer and the idea of the “Heidi's Hike” was born.

Our route will take us from Pevensey to Battle covering approximately 16 miles, so our team of hikers will need plenty of plasters, chocolate, crisps and beer (or water?!) to get from start to finish, but all the aches and pains will be worth it if we can raise some funds for St Michael’s Hospice.

The hospice’s work caring for those suffering with the Big C is incredible and their support of Heidi and her family during her illness was second to none. Every penny really does make a difference, so if you can part with some of your hard-earned cash your gift will help the hospice provide patients and their families with the support they need at the worst of times. Ashdown Hurrey will also match the first £1,000 raised.
