Wintercomfort's Literacy and Social Inclusion Fundraiser

Fundraising for Wintercomfort For The Homeless
£90
raised of £500 target
Donations cannot currently be made to this page
Wintercomfort is fundraising to purchase a library of books aimed at homeless adults who are learning to read. Funds raised will also support social inclusion and skills programmes, working to remove barriers to opportunity for all those we support.

Story

Wintercomfort works to support people with experience of homelessness to overcome multiple disadvantage and to move forward positively with their lives.

Many of those the charity supports have gaps in their education and poor literacy is a common barrier to opportunity.

Wintercomfort is raising money to purchase a library of books which are aimed specifically at adult learners - compelling, engaging stories which are written in simple language.

Funds raised will also support other areas of Wintercomfort's work to support people to gain essential life-skills including numeracy, digital skills and budgeting.

Cambridge University Press & Assessment will match colleague donations up to £500, so please remember not to be anonymous when you donate. Thank you!
