Story
28th of April 23 our lives were turned upside down. After months of our daughter suffering from headaches, we were told that she had a mass on her brain. That night we travelled to Oxford, where we were that told the most awful & terrifying news a parent could hear. Tianna had a brain tumour and needed urgent surgery to save her life. Tianna was diagnosed with a highly aggressive form of cancer, but thanks to the brilliant team in Jhon Radcliffe hospital, after 2 surgeries, they were able to remove the turmor. Tianna then had 6 weeks of Proton beam therapy. We pray & hope that this will be the miracle that prevents the cancer coming back. 🙏
As a family we would like to support The Brain Tumour Research as they only get 1% funding from the government.
We are also holding a fundraising day on the 28th of March at Nationwide Building society in Weston favell . A tombola raffle and cake sale. If you cannot pop in but would like to donate I will share a link at the bottom of this. Please don't think I can't afford to, if you cant give a £1 please give a share and get your family and friends to support us.
Wear A Hat Day is an annual event raising money to bring hope to brain tumour patients and their families. Every March, as Brain Tumour Awareness Month comes to a close, people from all walks of life put on their favourite hat at work, in school, with friends and family, and hold hat-themed events and make donations to Brain Tumour Research help find a cure for brain tumours, which kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer.
The first Wear A Hat Day was held in 2010 and, since then, it has raised more than £2 million for Brain Tumour Research to help raise awareness of this devastating disease, campaign for the Government and larger charities to invest more, and fund ground-breaking research at Centres of Excellence where scientists are focused on improving treatments for patients and, ultimately, finding a cure.
