Brave the Wave
Campaign by MYTIME Young Carers (RCN 297481)
Will you Brave the Wave with MYTIME for young carers this January? The aim is simple. Get in the sea, or other cold water sources, every day in January. The reality is much harder, so join our own Tim Sills and dip every day in the winter sea!

Story

Young carers work incredibly hard to take care of their loved ones. This could involve daily household tasks, mental health support, helping a loved one get showered and/or dressed and much much more. It is a 24/7 responsibility and on top of that they go to school, college, university or work. It's just their way of life. This can ultimately lead to them facing significant disadvantage as a result and MYTIME Young Carers don't think that's right or fair. They work hard to level the playing field for these incredible young people and that is why I am going to Brave the Wave this January. That means I will be enduring the huge challenge of getting in the sea or other cold water source every day in January to help raise vital funds and awareness for young carers. Cold water immersion is known to have significant positive mental health effects, which is something young carers often struggle with due to their responsibilities so please donate and help support young carers in Dorset and beyond. Thank you!
