Story

Heart of the Game returns 5 years on from our launch to support SAMH.

Saturday 21st December, 2pm KO, there will be a charity football match at Alloa Athletic’s stadium, the Indodrill.

The game will be the showpiece of weeks of campaigning, side activities, and fundraisers.

Alloa Athletic Women conquered Ben Lomond as part of this campaign. Furthermore, some of our playing are taking part in Movember to raise awareness.

Keep your eyes peeled for more information on upcoming events!

Shortly after our successful first campaign in 2019, Louise Mooney passed away after a battle with mental health. That is my (Kieren) reason for taking part and starting this. However, this is just one of the many stories that will inspire and fuel our players on match day. We will all take to the pitch with someone, or ourselves, close to our heart.

So many people have been impacted or know someone impacted by mental health. This campaign, we raise vital funds and awareness for SAMH.

SAMH, Scottish Action for Mental Health, are at the heart of this in Scotland helping many people providing direct support, as well as education and awareness. Whether it is crisis support or a simple conversation, they are there.

Help us continue to break down these barriers in this area and support a fantastic cause in their mission.
