Story
In October 2024 at five years old, our daughter Arabella was diagnosed with Leukaemia B-cell ALL. Since then, she has been on an intensive chemotherapy journey. Thankfully her cancer is in remission for now, but her treatment will continue until November '26.
Unfortunately hair loss is a side effect most cancer patients experience, no matter their age. Young Lives vs Cancer provided books, teddy's, and games which helped Arabella prepare and become more familiar with hair loss, and remember that she is brave no matter what! They were there for us from day one and we are forever grateful.
As a way of saying thank you and to support other families like ours, I (Arabella's dad, Michael) will shave my head to raise money and I have roped in some friends to join me. My brother in law Andy, renowned barber and owner of The G Room has kindly offered to lend us his expertise and supervise Arabella as she shaves our heads!
