Story

Join us in remembering Charlotte Raven -writer, journalist, feminist activist, and author of Patient 1. Her powerful memoir offers a brilliantly written, honest, and raw portrayal of life with Huntington's Disease, reflecting on her identity before and after diagnosis.

Charlotte was supported by a team from our Neurological Conditions service for years. She touched many lives at SweetTree, and her legacy remains. As a small gesture to honour her life and the crucial role she played in raising awareness of this illness, we have opened a fundraiser for the Huntington's Disease Association.

The Huntington's Disease Association supports anyone affected by Huntington's disease across England and Wales. They pursue the best possible care, provide training & advice to families and professionals, raise awareness, and promote research towards better treatment and care.
