Story

The pain of a childhood cancer diagnosis is indescribable - emotional support is desperately needed now.

Emily’s Gift is an appeal, under the umbrella of The Pied Piper Appeal, founded by Julie Kent MBE. Their mission is to raise £500,000 by 10 March 2024 to fund the employment of a psychologist for 10 years to ensure all children and their families receive psychological support while their child has cancer treatment at the Emily Kent Unit at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital and when they are in remission.

No child should ever experience cancer. Your generosity will help to provide professional emotional support for children and their families to help them cope with the trauma. 100% of your donation goes to the Emily’s Gift cause.

As a team we wanted to do something to help support Emily's gift, the Hazlewoods charity of the year.

After much deliberation (and deciding that a marathon is perhaps past most of us!) Nick Stafford, Nick Cusack, Andy Hogarth and Matt Williams have signed up to complete the longest day golf challenge.

This involves completing 4 rounds of golf in one day. We will be teeing off at 5am and expect to finish at around 9pm on June the 18th.

This is no easy feat! Some of us will be bag carrying and will involve more than 60,000 steps in one day (and all the more reason to hit the ball straight!).

Please help us to raise as much money for this fantastic cause.
