Story
Macmillan Cancer Support help people living with cancer and their families throughout their cancer journey.
When I was 22, my Dad Kelvin was informed that his Prostate cancer journey would be coming to an end as his disease had spread despite years of medical intervention. Myself and my sisters relied heavily on Macmillan Cancer Support throughout his deeply emotional end of life journey. Their resources signposted us to the funding options available for Dad to have care and treatment at home as well as providing an ear to listen when it all got too much.
Getting a diagnosis can be a really scary time but with your donations, Macmillan Cancer Support will be able to help many more families, just like mine.
I want to give back to Macmillan Cancer Support this year by climbing Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa), the highest mountain in Wales, overnight in the dark. This is going to be a challenge for me but I’m taking it on knowing my Dad is with me and that so many families can be helped.
