Shaptor Capital is keenly supporting the charity Porchlight, a Kent based charity striving for a fairer society where vulnerable people find stability, the most excluded are included, and where homelessness and poverty are things of the past.

I am taking part in Shaptor Capital Sponsored Sleep Out 2023, raising awareness about homelessness. This will take place in October. A small group will take part, sleeping without a bed for one night. This provides a valuable insight into what it's like for people who have no choice but to sleep rough every day of the week.

• £5 could cover the cost of a call to our free helpline from a person in crisis

• £30 could pay for a welcome pack of essentials and toiletries for someone moving into one of our accommodations.

• £52.40 could pay for a warm meal and 3 months of support

• £61.50 could fund 3 outreach sessions, helping people leave streets behind

• £500 could pay for 1 month’s rent for someone who has nowhere to live
