Story
Join our team of 27 in supporting The Brain Tumour Charity as we participate in the Glasgow Kiltwalk 2024.
As many of you will know, life was turned upside down in 2022 when I was diagnosed with a brain tumour just 1 week after my daughter's 4th birthday. Myself and my family were thrown into a whirlwind of surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy, and for the last 2 years we have been on the treadmill of treatment. It was during this time that I set myself the crazy goal of completing the Glasgow Kiltwalk in order to focus on something positive and look to the future after life has been on hold.
Never alone on this journey, I am joined by many of my amazing family and friends who are keen and crazy enough to be involved.
We are coming together from all over Scotland, England and even USA to raise as much money as we can for the world's leading brain tumour charity. The Brain Tumour Charity are committed to saving and improving lives by finding new treatments, offering the highest level of support, and driving urgent change. With your support, we can move further and faster towards a cure that can't wait.
On April 28th, 2024, we'll be walking 22.6 miles from Glasgow to Loch Lomond in our kilts, to raise awareness and funds for this important cause, and have fun and frolicks in the process. After all, that's what life is all about. Our daughter is also joining us for the 'Wee Wander' - the last 3 miles ❤️
Our goal is to raise as much money as much money as possible for The Brain Tumour Charity. With your help, we can make a real impact on the lives of those affected by brain tumours. Every donation counts - no matter how big or small - so please consider supporting us in this important endeavour.
Gillian and Hayley will also be donating to Maggie's Glasgow as a thank you for their ongoing support.
Forever grateful and forever positive xx
