Story
Hatch Mansfield’s keenest cyclists, Mark Calver, Aaron Turner, Neil and Claire Simmons & Becci Calver will be undertaking The Drinks Trust’s Harvest Tour in tribute to our very own Philip Tuck MW, who sadly passed away in July. We will be raising funds for The Drinks Trust during this the 3-day bike ride from 29th September to 1st October.
Following the sad passing of Philip Tuck MW, Hatch Mansfield Wine Director and Wine Trade Sports Club Board Member, and a founder of the Tour, The Drinks Trust and WTSCF, with the support of Philip’s family and industry friends, will be dedicating this year’s event to Philip, celebrating his life and his contribution to the industry that he cared so passionately about.
The drinks and hospitality industry charity, has experienced unprecedented demand for financial, well-being and training support. The single grant amount for financial grants in January 2023 was double that in 2022, and applications in the first quarter of this year have been the highest since the charity’s founding in 1886.
In addition, calls to the support line from people needing support with their well-being and mental health have increased threefold compared to the same period in 2022. For this reason, we have joined The Harvest Tour, a bike ride through the vineyards and route of the South East of England, raising money for this valuable cause.
Any donation will be greatly appreciated, please support our challenge and help us reach our fundraising goals!
