Story
On May 5th, 2012, Jenny Rayner and her family experienced the devastating impact of mental illness when their daughter Lucy took her own life at the age of 22.
This life-altering event motivated Jenny and her family to advocate for mental health awareness, particularly focusing on the challenges faced by young adults. They quickly discovered that the support and resources available for recognizing and treating mental health issues in young adults were severely lacking and underfunded.
This led to the creation of The Lucy Rayner Foundation.
The Lucy Rayner Foundation, based in Surrey, is a mental health charity that offers various services, including: Counselling, weekly support groups, Family group, school programmes and lots more. Please check out www.thelucyraynerfoundation.com for more information.
