I will be running the London Marathon on April 27th 2025 this year, in aid of my brother, George, and his charity cardiomyopathy uk.

George has a heart condition called hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.

George was diagnosed at a very young age, and this changed our lives growing up. At eight years old George had major open heart surgery at Great Ormond Street Hospital and at 13 had an ICD fitted. This is an implantable defibrillator so if George's heart stops or goes out of rhythm this would shock his heart back to a normal rhythm.

For those of you who don’t know my brother George has just had another major open heart surgery at St. Bart's in London.

This is his 3rd heart surgery and he is still only 18!

This dramatically affects his life. He was a heathy little boy who I use to love to play football with when he was younger. This all changed when he was diagnosed with this condition. We could no longer run around like we used to do.

There is no cure for hypertrophic cardiomyopathy at present, but I will be running this race to raise awareness and research in the hope that one day we will find a cure.

Cardiomyopathy UK have helped us as a family and continue to, and they raise awareness and research into finding a cure for this condition. So this is why I have chosen this charity to run for.
