Story
THE STORY
In 2019, me and Dan cycled from Paris to London in memory of my brother, Elias Taylor, who lost his battle with leukaemia. In 2022, I continued the journey from Paris to Poitiers. In 2025, Dan is back, with two new recruits, Giord and Joel, this time cycling from Vienne to Aigues-Mortes (340kms) money for the charity in Elias' name.
What are we raising money for? Well, thanks to people's generosity over the last couple of years, the research project in Elias' memory is now up and running in partnership with Haematology Cancer Care, looking at how CAR T treatment, which had given us so much hope for Elias, can be improved to save lives. Every pound raised by our riders has gone directly to the charity to fund research and buy an aphereris machine which is helping leukaemia patients right now, every day.
We have now raised over £300K, and aim to reach £500K in 2025 to take the research to the next level and fund more PHDs.
With love from The Elias Taylor Vegas After Party.

THE LINE-UP
Harry - 3rd attempt at crossing the line hands-free having nearly caused pile-ups on VAP1 & VAP2. No consideration for those less enthusiastic. Will compete at everything.
Dan - Won a Yellow Jersey on VAP1. Spends more time checking his speed than the road. Struggles with the concept of riding in a group.
Giord - Signed-up for a ski-trip, now fully committed to cycling. Shocked the route isn't flat. Doesn't own a bike.
Joel - Here for the FOMO.
Team observations: A ragtag crew of semi-enthusiastic cyclists and accidental athletes. While our skills on the bike vary wildly, our determination to finish (mostly in one piece) is unmatched. Please donate to keep us upright.

THE CHARITY
We have a strong community of patients, families and staff committed to supporting haematological cancers through fundraising activities and events. Uniquely, we are run by senior clinical staff working closely with all haematology teams and haematology patients ensuring donations make a significant impact on the services here at UCLH.
