Every Easter, the charity HCPT take children with special needs on a week’s holiday of a lifetime to Lourdes, France. This year, for the second time, I am joining Group 3 as a volunteer helper.

The holiday costs more than £1500 for each child, so we need to raise lots of money! To help raise funds for HCPT Group 3, I am undertaking the Chester Ultra 100 mile Challenge on the 5th of April. It is a 100 mile run taking in the Sandstone Trail, the Marches Way, Helsby Hill, Frodsham, Beeston Castle, Delamere Forest and the Bridgewater Canal, with 1590m of ascent. It must be completed within a 32 hour cut off time, leaving no time to stop, not even to sleep. It's going to be tough!

I'm determined to smash it, whatever the weather, and help raise funds to give the children an amazing holiday and their parents a much-needed week of respite. Your donation, no matter how big or small, will make all the difference. It will keep me going and cheer me on, as well as supporting a very worthy cause. Please help if you can.
