Harrison's Big Hair Cut - Donation for a Wig (Little Princess Trust)

Hair Cut as a Donation for a Wig · 21 September 2024
Thank you for dropping by. We just wanted to raise awareness for a wonderful charity and how our son Harrison chose to support them.
Harrison has become a SUPERHAIRO for Little Princess Trust. They offer REAL hair wigs to sick children for FREE, which is amazing.
Harrison's been growing his hair for nearly 3 YEARS to donate it to a child in need of a wig following hair loss due to cancer treatment.
He decided to do this - unprompted - 3 years ago, when he was 10 years old. He had his 10th birthday in Sept 2021 & his last haircut around that time.
2021 feels like such a long time ago! We were about to go into the 2nd Lockdown!
Harrison's just had his 13th birthday at the beginning of September. Harrison has shown great character since starting this. He's refused to give up & resisted the chop! ✂️
We lost an Uncle to cancer in Canada and Harrison says that he's kept going in his memory and for cancer awareness generally. 😍
He's getting his 'Super Haircut' on September 21st and in true Harrison style he's having it 'all off' and opting to have a v short cut.
We're very happy that Harrison's hair will be used by The Little Princess Trust to make a wig for a child, but they're entirely funded by donations. It would be such a bonus if we were able to contribute to that in any way. It costs the charity £700 for the "Hair to Head" journey. (See picture in gallery)
Please don't worry if you can't contribute, the main gift is the HAIR! 😃🥰
Harrison will just be happy to know friends and family are encouraging him for this final step of his project.
Thank you to everyone who has supported Harrison with kind words and encouragement and to anyone who was able to donate.
The Little Princess Trust is one of the largest funders of childhood cancer research in the UK.
The charity relies solely on the generosity of its wonderful supporters who help the charity give Hair and Hope to so many children and young people with cancer each year.
