Story

We are delighted to launch Harrison Drury’s Great Green Commute! A week-long event taking place from Monday 12th August – Friday 16th August 2024, which will see Simon England and James Robbins (along with others from the firm … we hope!) travel to work in all 7 of our offices by bike or on foot only – approximately 90 miles by bicycle and 100 miles on foot, over the course of the 5 day working week.

This event has been a long time in the making, with James and Simon originally floating the idea in 2016. It’s taken them so long to get their act together, that HD has since opened two new offices in Lytham and Manchester for them to navigate, making the challenge even harder!

The motivation for the event was to raise as much money as possible for The Brain Tumour Charity in memory of our late colleague Dominic Hester. Simon and James’ have since lost their respective fathers, Alfie and Bob, to the same illness.

Along with raising money for the charity, we hope to encourage eco-friendly commuting and help improve our well being and the environment.
