Story
I’m honored to be heading to Peru on behalf of my company, Opcare, alongside an awesome group of colleagues and amputees to take on the iconic Inca Trail to Machu Picchu in aid of LimbPower.
Aside from Machu Picchu being a personal bucket list item, I am so excited to be supporting the incredible group of men and women that are tackling this challenge on their prosthetic legs. In our busy lives, it’s so easy to take for our mobility for granted and I hope to use this trip to raise awareness of all the possibilities that are open to our patients when they experience limb loss, and that instead of being the end, it is in fact the start of a new adventure.
I am lucky to have the most generous people in my life and have no doubt we will meet our target, but do please remember that no donation is too small when it comes to supporting our amputee community through LimbPower. The charity supports amputees, individuals with limb difference and their families to bridge the gap between hospital rehabilitation and community and school engagement to rebuild lives and improve physical, social and mental well-being. They are crucial to so many of our patients in helping them rebuild an active lifestyle with limb loss and limb difference.
Thank you for donating and I can’t wait to show you the pictures!
