I’m swimming as part of a team for 24hrs this year, yes, even through the night! I'm swimming to raise money for Level Water, who use the power of swimming to improve lives for children with disabilities.

Swimming has helped me through some really tough times in my life, but also supported me during some of my best, so raising money for Level Water to give everyone access to swimming is something I’d love to give. Everyone should have the opportunity to learn to swim and fall in love with the water.

The real challenge comes in those cold, 2 AM swims when all I want is sleep, but that’s when the camaraderie kicks in. It’s the feeling of relief after each hour, knowing I’ve just ticked off another milestone. It’s gathering around the fire pit, clutching a hot chocolate, dancing to stay warm, and cheering as the sun rises over the lake.

With no prior open water experience, it’s sure going to be a challenge!
