Hi, I am Harriet! In March 2023 when I was 14 years old, my horse and I had a devastating road accident where we both fell down. However, only he got back up… After an emergency surgery for a burst L3 spinal fracture and help from the AMAZING paediatric physio team at Ipswich Hospital, I was able to get back on my feet (with support) after just a week. Since then, I have been an outpatient receiving intense rehabilitation physio from this fantastic team. They’ve taken me from sitting, standing, hardly walking on crutches to back on a horse and now running around a netball court again.

I am taking part in the 5k Colour Run to raise money for the Paediatric Physio Department as a way to show my support for all their hard work, dedication and encouragement they’ve given to me and my family over the last 18 months and so they can keep providing help to others in similar positions.
